Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

The RegXperts Ltd is committed to making regxperts.co.uk usable for as many people as possible, regardless of ability, assistive technology, or device. We believe a premium shopping experience should be a premium experience for everyone, and we treat accessibility as part of the build rather than an afterthought.

This statement explains how accessible our website is, what we're doing to improve it, and how to get in touch if something on the site is hard to use.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for accessible web content and are referenced by the UK Equality Act 2010.

Meeting Level AA means our site is designed so that people with a wide range of needs โ€” including those who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or need larger text and higher contrast โ€” can browse, configure, and order their plates without obstacles.

What we've done so far

We have taken the following steps to make regxperts.co.uk more accessible:

  • Built the site with semantic HTML5 so screen readers can announce headings, lists, and navigation correctly.
  • Maintained strong colour contrast between text and background across the dark theme, with gold and white text tested against our base black surfaces.
  • Provided descriptive alt text for product imagery, registration plate previews, and badge artwork.
  • Ensured the site is fully navigable by keyboard, with visible focus rings on links, buttons, form fields, and the plate builder.
  • Used clear, legible body type (minimum 15px on mobile) and avoided text rendered as images wherever possible.
  • Designed forms with explicit labels, sensible field grouping, and inline validation messages that are announced to assistive technology.
  • Added skip-to-content links and consistent landmark regions (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) so users of screen readers can move quickly between sections.
  • Respected the user's reduced-motion preference โ€” non-essential animations are disabled automatically when prefers-reduced-motion is set in the operating system.
  • Built the mobile experience with large tap targets, a slide-out drawer menu, and a sticky enquiry bar so the site stays usable one-handed.

Known limitations

We are open about the parts of the site that are not yet fully accessible. We are actively working on each of the items below.

  • 3D plate builder preview. The live three-dimensional preview of your registration is a visual element. Customers who rely on a screen reader will hear a text summary of the configuration ("3D Gel, white border, England badge, 7ร—4 lettering"), but the rendered preview itself is not described image-by-image. We are exploring richer audio descriptions for the builder.
  • PDF receipts and order confirmations. Order documents are generated by third-party providers (Shopify and our shipping partners). These may not always be tagged for screen-reader use. If you need an accessible version of any document we send you, please contact us and we will provide a tagged copy.
  • Customer reviews and embedded content. Reviews and any embedded social media content are supplied by third parties. We cannot guarantee that every embedded element matches WCAG 2.2 AA, but we choose partners who treat accessibility seriously.
  • Older legacy collection pages. A small number of older collection pages are being migrated to our new design system. Some may temporarily use less descriptive headings until the migration completes.

What to do if you can't access part of the site

If you find something on regxperts.co.uk that you cannot use, or you need information from the site in a different format โ€” for example large print, plain text, an audio recording, or a braille version โ€” please get in touch. We will reply within five working days.

  • Email: sales@regxperts.co.uk
  • Phone: see our Contact page for both branch numbers
  • Post: The RegXperts Ltd, 163 Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 7NH

Please tell us the page address (URL), the problem you experienced, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. The more detail you can share, the faster we can put it right.

Reporting accessibility problems

We welcome feedback. If you are unhappy with how we have responded to your accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides free advice on discrimination and human rights in England, Scotland, and Wales.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality Act 2010 (or the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in Northern Ireland) requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you believe we are not meeting this requirement and have not addressed your concerns adequately, you may contact the EASS.

How we test this site

We test accessibility in two ways:

  • Automated checks. Every meaningful release of the theme is scanned with Lighthouse and axe-core to catch missing labels, contrast issues, and broken landmarks before code is published.
  • Manual checks. Key journeys โ€” browsing collections, configuring a plate in the builder, completing checkout, submitting an enquiry โ€” are tested by a member of the team using keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader (VoiceOver on macOS / iOS and NVDA on Windows).

This site was last tested on 4 June 2026. The test was carried out by The RegXperts Ltd in-house team.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 4 June 2026. It will be reviewed and updated whenever the website changes substantially, and at minimum every twelve months.
