About Show Plates
Off-road, display and event-only plates — built in any style, any spacing, any layout we can physically make. Show plates are where the rules end and the imagination starts.
A show plate is any plate built outside the UK BS AU 145e road-legal specification. They can use custom spacing, custom typefaces, custom colours, custom characters and any premium finish in our range — the only rule is that they cannot legally be fitted to a vehicle used on public roads.
Show plates are popular for car meets, photography, indoor display, custom builds, off-road vehicles, JDM imports, and as wall pieces. We build every show plate in our UK workshop and back every order with our 3-month workmanship warranty.

What you receive
Each show plate ships fully finished — your chosen style, spacing and layout. Pair, single front or single rear.
Specification
Material: 3 mm UK acrylic base · Character & finish: as chosen in the builder · Sizes: every builder size supported · Reflectivity: optional — not required for off-road use.
Delivery & dispatch
Standard / 3D Gel / 4D Gel show plates same working day on orders before 10 am. Premium styles (Ghost, Shadow, Carbon, etc.) take 3-5 working days. Standard Evri £3.50, next-day Evri £5.99, free UK over £55.
Legal use
Show plates are supplied for off-road, display and event use only. They must not be fitted to a vehicle that will be driven on public roads in the UK. Use of a non-compliant plate on a road vehicle is an offence.
Returns
Custom plates are exempt from change-of-mind returns. Faulty or wrong orders are replaced or refunded — photos within 14 days.
Warranty
All Road Legal and Show Plates include a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Any defects must be reported within 3–5 days of delivery with clear photos. This covers manufacturing defects only — not accidental damage, misuse, incorrect fitting or normal wear.
Show Plate FAQs
Can I drive on the road with a show plate?
No. UK road use requires a plate that meets BS AU 145e — the right font, correct spacing, white front / yellow rear base. Show plates intentionally sit outside that spec.
Can I have a fake or different registration?
We will only make a show plate that shows the real registration of a vehicle you own, or a plain test sequence (e.g. "SHOWPLATE"). We won't make a plate that misrepresents a vehicle in public.
What styles are available as show plates?
All of them. The only difference vs a road-legal order is the spacing and character treatment.
