About Shadow Plates
A 4D-style top layer cast over a soft shadow underlay — giving every character genuine depth and that signature dark drop you can almost reach into.
The Shadow finish layers a soft drop-shadow underneath each laser-cut 4D character to create real visual depth. The shadow layer is precision-printed on the acrylic base before the gloss black 4D character is dropped on top — the result is a dimensional plate that looks far more expensive than its price suggests.
Built on the same UK-pressed reflective acrylic we use for every road-legal plate, the Shadow style is available as a fully road-legal set or as a show plate depending on the spacing you choose in the builder.

What you receive
Your Shadow Plate is supplied fully finished and ready to fit — pair, single front, or single rear, your choice. Self-adhesive backing is fitted as standard; screw-fix pads are an optional upgrade at checkout.

Delivery & dispatch
Premium styles dispatch in 3-5 working days. Standard Evri delivery is £3.50 (2-4 days), next-day Evri is £5.99, free UK delivery on orders over £55.
Fitting
Self-adhesive high-bond pads come fitted as standard. Clean the mount surface with the supplied alcohol wipe, peel the backing, press firmly for 30 seconds and allow 24 hours before washing.
Returns
Custom plates are exempt from the 14-day right to return. Damaged or incorrect orders are replaced or refunded — contact us within 14 days with photos.
Warranty
All Road Legal and Show Plates include a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Any defects must be reported within 3–5 days of delivery with clear photos. This covers manufacturing defects only — not accidental damage, misuse, incorrect fitting or normal wear.

Can Shadow Plates be made road-legal?
Yes. Choose road-legal spacing in the builder and we make the set to BS AU 145e specification. Proof of identity and entitlement is needed before dispatch.
What colour is the shadow layer?
Standard Shadow uses a soft mid-grey drop. If you want a deeper or coloured shadow, contact our team and we will quote a custom build.
How does Shadow compare to ShadowX?
Shadow has a printed flat shadow underneath a 4D character. ShadowX adds a second layered 4D shadow for even more depth — see our ShadowX Plates page.
What sizes are available?
Standard 520 × 111 mm, short 470/406/356 mm, motorcycle and 4×4. Pick your size in the plate builder.
