Condensed character
Narrower letters and numbers — a more modern, architectural plate face.
About Metro Plates
A sharp, slightly condensed take on a 4D plate — slimmer characters, tighter rhythm, and a finish that feels at home on modern minimal cars.
The Metro character is a condensed, slightly modernised take on a 4D plate. Each letter is narrowed, the spacing pulled tighter, and the overall plate face reads as more architectural — cleaner lines, more whitespace.
It is the plate we recommend for modern-design cars where the rest of the metalwork already trades on minimalism. Built on the same UK acrylic substrate as our entire premium range.
Why Metro Plates look different

Metro Plate FAQs
Is Metro road-legal?
No. The condensed character does not match the official road-legal font. Supplied as a show plate.
Will Metro look right on a long registration?
Yes — the condensed character actually helps long regs sit better. Try your reg in the builder to see the layout.
Can I combine Metro with a 4D border?
Yes — 4D borders work cleanly with Metro. Pick the border colour in the builder.
